Job Description: They are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to join the team in the food industry. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of payroll processes within the food industry.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the payroll process for all employees within the company, including hourly and salaried staff.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including data entry, payroll calculations, and deductions.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws related to the food industry.
- Develop and implement payroll policies, procedures, and controls to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to resolve payroll-related issues and discrepancies.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulations affecting payroll in the food industry.
- Provide leadership and guidance to payroll staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Prepare payroll reports, analytics, and forecasts for management review.
- Handle employee inquiries and requests related to payroll, benefits, and taxes.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of payroll software and systems, such as ADP, Workday, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.
