About the Job
WORLDPAC is searching for a Payroll leader for our Payroll Operations and Compliance. This role will be responsible formanagingand executing key compliance processes and initiatives. This role oversees the US and Canada Payroll function managing all aspects of the payroll process, ensuring the accurate, compliant, and timely disbursement of wages for all team members. Maintains payroll records, implements best practices, and collaborates with various departments to improve policies and procedures, streamline processes and act as the expert in all Payroll related matters.
Responsibilities:Responsibilities
- Manages full-cycle, multi-state bi-weekly US and Canada payroll processing including earnings, commissions, bonuses, taxes, benefit deductions, and garnishments.
- Design and implement policy and controls for data security compliant with US and international government regulations.
- Develops payroll controls to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Conducts payroll audits, ensuring data integrity, overall payroll accuracy and compliance with US and international government regulations and Company policies.
- Partners with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and adherence to Company policies and procedures.
- Research and implement Payroll system and process improvements to reduce error, increase efficiency, and ensure alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
- Maintains strict confidentiality, ensuring security of the payroll system, reports, and other documentation.
- Effectively manages a team, their resources, development, and overall performance.
- Collaborates with the HR management, Benefits, Finance and Tax on payroll policies, processes and procedures and provides metrics / dashboards to the business as needed.
- Maintain knowledge with evolving industry/regulatory changes impacting the business while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
- Ad-hoc reporting as needed to support cross functional business partners.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8+ year’s progressive experience in Payroll
- 5+ years SOX Controls, Internal and External Audit experience
- Advanced Excel and presentation development skills
- Workday experience highly desirable
