Payroll Manager
We are currently seeking candidates for a Payroll Manager opportunity with a highly successful and collaborative organization located in Methuen, MA. The Payroll Manager will oversee the preparation and processing of bi-weekly payroll for 3,000+ employees (salaried and hourly) in the United States and Canada. The ideal candidate will have 6-8+ years of payroll experience ideally with in a rapid growth, multi-location organization.
This is a 3-6+ month contract-to-hire opportunity paying $50-$60/hour (depending on experience).

Responsibilities:
- Spearhead biweekly payroll processes for 3,000+ employees (salaried and hourly) in the US and Canada
- Oversee payroll team to ensure the timely preparation and processing of bi-weekly payrolls via Workday
- Collaborate with Human Resources and Payroll team to answer questions related to off-cycle payroll requests, compensation changes, or benefits updates
- Calculate quarterly or annual bonuses in coordination with operations team and company management
- Update and distribute scheduled payroll reports for management and operational review
- Maintain appropriate payroll records in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Oversee quarterly and year-end checklist in conjunction with third-party, ADP, to assist in preparation of quarterly and annual wage and tax filings
- Participate in worker’s compensation insurance, 401k, unemployment, and financial audits
- Respond to direct report, other department, and management inquiries in a timely manner
- Assist in identifying and implementing process efficiencies
- 6 – 8+ years of payroll experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, sciences, or related field
- Knowledge of processing multi-location payroll in system/ platform; Workday preferred
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Deadline-oriented and self-motivated
- Strong work-ethic and team player
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong PC and technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
