This position offers remote flexibility, but individual must be local as this position will be onsite 1 day/week.
About the Role:
As the Payroll Manager, you’ll oversee the end-to-end payroll function for a workforce of 800+ employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Reporting directly to the Controller with dotted line to CFO, you’ll handle payroll processing, tax filings, benefits administration, and more—all while playing a pivotal role in supporting the company’s financial operations and employee satisfaction.

Payroll Manager Key Responsibilities
- Process semi-monthly and bi-weekly, multi-state payroll for 800+ employees using ADP Workforce Now.
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local wage and hour laws, and support related audits.
- Address payroll-related inquiries and provide guidance on regulations to employees and management.
- Implement and maintain payroll policies and procedures to streamline operations.
- Prepare analytical reports and reconcile payroll tax accounts for accurate reporting.
- Manage time and labor systems, assisting new hires with time-off tracking and requests.
- Handle final pay, severance payouts, and agency notices, and oversee unemployment and local account registrations.
- Contribute to audits, tax filings, and other payroll-related financial activities.
Payroll Manager Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of multi-state payroll experience.
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now is preferred
- Strong knowledge of Federal, State, and local payroll laws.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
- Certified Payroll Professional certification is a plus.
