Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Payroll Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing and managing payroll operations for our organization, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
2. Coordinating with the HR department, ensuring all employee records are up-to-date and accurate for payroll processing.
3. Administering the company's 401K plan, ensuring all contributions, distributions, and other transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
4. Handling garnishments, levies, and other payroll deductions, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements.
5. Performing regular payroll reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
6. Managing multi-state payroll operations, ensuring compliance with state-specific payroll laws and regulations.
7. Preparing and posting journal entries related to payroll transactions, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
8. Developing and implementing payroll policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company standards and legal requirements.
9. Providing training and guidance to payroll staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll management, preferably within the medical industry.
2. Proven experience in payroll processing, including multi-state payroll operations.
3. Strong knowledge of 401K administration, garnishments, and payroll reconciliations.
4. Experience in preparing and posting journal entries.
5. A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
6. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex payroll information to non-financial staff.
8. Advanced proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.
10. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion when handling sensitive payroll information.
