Our rapidly growing finance company is seeking an experienced and motivated Permanent Payroll Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional to join a dynamic team and play a pivotal role in the smooth operation of our company's financial activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing our payroll department, ensuring all financial transactions, including salaries, benefits, and deductions, are processed accurately and timely. This role requires a high level of precision, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
1. Overseeing and managing the entire payroll process for our company.
2. Ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently and accurately, maintaining strict adherence to company policies and regulations.
3. Managing payroll workflows to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
4. Reconciling payroll prior to transmission and validating confirmed reports.
5. Understanding proper taxation of employer paid benefits.
6. Processing correct garnishment calculations and compliance.
7. Executing time and attendance processing and interface with payroll.
8. Developing ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed.
9. Implementing and maintaining payroll best practices to improve efficiency and consult with senior management to improve systems.
10. Communicating actively with Operations, HR and Billing to review cross-departmental impacts and reconcile data sharing.
11. Partnering with HR and benefits in aligning and implementing a more sophisticated payroll and benefits system.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a payroll manager role.
2. Proven experience in managing a large-scale payroll operation.
3. Strong knowledge of payroll systems and best practices.
4. Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes.
5. Familiarity with payroll software/ HRIS (Human Resource Information System).
6. Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
8. A strong attention to detail with an aptitude for numbers.
9. Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
10. Strong leadership and team management skills.
11. A degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
12. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is highly desirable.
