Our Accounting & Finance Staffing team is currently looking to speak with candidates who would be a good fit for roles with the specifications below:
Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate, timely and efficient processing and payment of bi-weekly payrolls
- Manage all payroll functions and maintain compliance with applicable policies, contracts, and State and Federal laws
- Adhere to best practices and internal control policies and drive process improvements for payroll
- Analyze and reconcile reports and quarterly tax filings to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Perform monthly payroll close duties, including the preparation of period-end accruals and monthly journal entries, reconciliations of payroll registers to the general ledger, etc.
- Calculate and process special checks in a timely manner, i.e., termination pay, special bonuses, or equity-based transactions
- Address employee questions and create materials and training to educate employees on payroll-related topics
- Reconcile W-2 forms and ensure accuracy of all compensation and deduction transactions
- Oversee and ensure the accurate and timely filing of all employer compliance forms and returns for all applicable jurisdictions
- Facilitate annual audits of financial statements, 401(k), Worker’s Compensation and others, as needed
- Partner with the People Operations and Benefits on the ongoing maintenance of UKG Ready
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- FPC or CPP certification preferred
- 5-7 years of progressive payroll management including multi-state and stock plan administration experience
- Knowledge of relevant payroll related standards, codes, GAAP, regulations and other related requirements.
- Experience with UKG Ready preferred
- Strong systems and data flow knowledge; ability to learn and adapt to new software
- Highly accurate with keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build solid relationships and establish credibility across all levels of the organization – must be a team player
- Motivated, focused, passionate contributor and asset to a team
- Ability to be nimble and efficient dealing with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
