Job Details
Our HR Team in the United States is looking for an experienced Payroll manager that will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. This role requires extensive knowledge and experience in payroll processing, particularly in multistate payroll environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll regulations and laws, as well as the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, including data entry, processing, and distribution of payroll for employees across multiple states.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax laws, wage and hour regulations, and reporting requirements.
Stay up to date on changes in payroll laws and regulations and implement necessary updates to payroll processes and procedures.
Manage payroll audits and inquiries from regulatory agencies, ensuring accurate and timely responses.
Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll data with other systems and processes.
Develop and maintain payroll policies and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Provides guidance and support to payroll staff, including training, performance management, and professional development.
Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
A Minimum of 6 years of experience in payroll processing, with a focus on multistate payroll.
Strong understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Experience with payroll software and systems (e.g., adp, paychex, workday, paylocity).
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
Prior experience managing a team preferred.
