We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Payroll Coordinator to join our fast-paced finance team in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all payroll functions, ensuring the accuracy of accounts, and providing timely and accurate financial information. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. If you have a passion for numbers, a knack for problem-solving, and a commitment to excellence, we would love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the preparation, distribution, and reporting processes for payroll.
2. Compile and process data for payroll, including salaries, exemptions, bonuses, taxes, and deductions.
3. Ensure all payroll transactions are processed efficiently and accurately.
4. Prepare and submit reports on payroll operations to the management team.
5. Resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions.
6. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal payroll regulations and guidelines.
7. Update payroll records by entering changes to employee profiles, such as exemptions, insurance coverage, job titles, and department or division transfers.
8. Process and monitor garnishment orders and other issues that impact payroll specifications.
9. Maintain and document all payroll records.
10. Conduct audits of payroll, benefits, or other HR programs, and recommend corrective action.
11. Assist with the implementation of payroll systems or software, as needed.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in payroll administration or related field.
2. Proficiency in payroll software, with a preference for those experienced in ADP Workforce Now.
3. Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to salaries, wages, taxes, benefits, and other payroll-related matters.
4. Proficient in financial reporting and preparing financial documents.
5. Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
8. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
10. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
