ExplorUS is a family-owned company with nearly 30 years of experience operating National, State, and local park concessions.
Over the years we have worked to enhance, elevate, and complement the visitor’s experience at each park, landmark, and
property we operate. We’re seeking a Payroll Coordinator that will be responsible for processing payroll operations for several
National and State Parks. This role will be an important aspect of our fast-growing organization with significant growth potential. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, this role will be based out of our Overland Park, KS corporate office.

pride in acquiring underperforming park concessions, turning them around, and bringing them up to and beyond the expectations of our park partners and park visitors.

Responsibilities:• Process bi-weekly payroll for employees across multiple states using Paycor.
• Ensure accurate entry of payroll changes, including new hires, terminations, promotions, salary adjustments, tax
withholdings, garnishments, and direct deposit details.
• Verify employee time records and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with the Payroll Auditor and Manager.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and tax regulations across all states.
• Stay informed on changes in multi-state labor laws.
• Serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries related to paychecks, tax forms, benefits, garnishments, and payroll
issues.
• Conduct regular payroll audits to identify errors or inconsistencies in employee records or payments.
• Manage payroll documentation while maintaining confidentiality.
• Collaborate with the Payroll Manager to resolve technical issues within the payroll system.
• Participate in payroll process improvement projects as delegated by the Payroll Manager.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred but not required.
• 2+ years of experience in multi-state payroll processing in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of wage laws, including federal, state, and local regulations, and overtime calculations under FLSA guidelines.
• Self-motivating attitude with strong organizational skills and a high attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze and proactively recommend solutions to discrepancies.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient technology skills specifically with Microsoft Office suite.
