The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for performing payroll processing duties, auditing data changes within Dayforce and review of hours and compensation to ensure adherence to company policy and FLSA requirements. Coordination with other areas and departments related to timely and accurate data collection, recording, processing, and reporting. Extensive computer expertise with a third-party payroll system and use of Microsoft Office. The Payroll Coordinator will report directly to the Payroll Manager and participate in department and college-wide meetings, events, and activities.

This individual will be able to demonstrate the use of best practice strategies associated with all aspect of payroll and customer service. This individual will demonstrate a spirit of an independent problem-solver, and a willingness to go the extra mile. The Payroll Coordinator will demonstrate a high level of confidentiality, integrity and professionalism when dealing with sensitive payroll and financial information as well as prioritize and meet deadlines under strict constraints. The Payroll Coordinator will also have a demonstrated ability to encourage, model, embrace, and incorporate diverse thought and perspective of all individuals of various backgrounds, ideas, and perspectives to foster an all-inclusive environment and drive results.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in payroll administration/processing related activities in a professional setting; experience with a web-based (Ceridian preferred) payroll processing system; experience in a higher education setting is preferred. A BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, business, finance or a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and related experience is required.
