Payroll Coordinator
Responsibilities
• Ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, and processing payroll checks
• Keeping payroll data up to date, and maintaining payroll filing systems
• Collect and verify employee timesheets
• Processing direct deposits and issuing checks
• Compute wages using salary adjustments, bonuses, benefits, commissions, and deductions
• Keep payroll data up-to-date for transfers, promotions, and terminations
• Ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and responding to audit and tax requests
• Acting as the first point of contact for employees with payroll queries
• Maintain payroll filing systems or payroll software
• Inputting and maintaining data in the payroll system, and completing accounting-related tasks
• Assisting with hire paperwork, office tasks, filing, and other functions as needed
Requirements
• Proficient in English; Bi-lingual Spanish required
• Have a flexible work schedule
• Understanding of general payroll and human resources policies and procedures
• Demonstrates high confidentiality and upholds company standards
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills required
• Must have the ability to work independently, multi-task and attention to detail
• Ability to learn new software
• Ability to communicate and work well with co-workers, and other department supervisors/managers
• Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Familiar with Laserfiche software plus
• HRIS/Timekeeping systems (PayCom) plus
• PC Proficient
• Data Entry and General Math Skills
