Our client is looking to hire a part-time Payroll Clerk to join their growing team!
Compensation: $20 -25 /Hour
Location: Sterling, VA (on-site)
Schedule: 9:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Busy times will result in more hours but this will be the standard schedule)
Payroll Clerk Responsibilities:
The Payroll Clerk will engage in servicing client accounts, duties to include:
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
- Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
- Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
- Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
- Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database
- Provide assistance and support to company personnel
- Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
- Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
- Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
- Constantly update job knowledge
- Help assist in monthly financial reporting responsibilities
Payroll Clerk Requirements:
- Associates degree, or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel (Access is a plus).
- Strong data entry skills and accuracy.
- Friendly demeanor with "World Class" customer service approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail are primary concerns.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $25.00
