We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join our team in the medical industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a solid background in payroll and benefits administration to make a significant impact in a growing organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll and benefits administration, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and providing expert advice and guidance to employees and management. This is a hybrid position.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including data entry, reconciliation, and reporting.
2. Administer all employee benefit programs, including health and wellness, retirement, and other supplementary benefits.
3. Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
4. Serve as the primary contact for payroll and benefits inquiries, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues in a timely manner.
5. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
6. Coordinate with HR and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll and benefits administration.
7. Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
8. Conduct audits of payroll, benefits, and other HR programs, and recommend corrective action.
9. Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures for payroll and benefits administration.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 4 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration, preferably in the medical industry.
2. In-depth knowledge of payroll systems, benefits administration, and federal and state regulations.
3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and payroll software programs.
6. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
7. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
8. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) designation is preferred.
9. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
