About the Job
Payroll Responsibilities
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve issues
- Ensure accuracy of payroll taxes and reports to federal, state, and local agencies are accurate,
- Assist with payroll audits.
- Process the biweekly production of payroll, including garnishments, benefit contributions and payroll related taxes
- Verify third party processing of statutory reporting and compliance filings
- Provide accounting department with payroll register information and other necessary reports
- Prepare general ledger entries and present financial reports on a monthly basis
- Forecast and calculate actual benefits fringe rate.
- Monitor fringe rate activity and analyze data to develop a fringe budget rate.
- Prepare fringe true-up each quarter.
- Develop accurate quarterly accrual for 401k and communicate to Corporate Accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or HR
- 2-3+ years relevant work experience
- Full cycle payroll processing experience.
- Strong Excel skills

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
