About the Job
- Payroll and Benefit Manager administers various employee benefit programs, including medical insurance, dental insurance, group term life insurance, short term and long term disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, pre-tax transit benefits and retirement plan; Ensure employee enrollment materials are received and processed according to insurance carrier deadlines
- Process semi-monthly payroll ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal wage and hour laws; Verify, balance and correct payroll reports
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree in Human Resource Management or related field required
- Minimum (5) years of progressively responsible experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, working in an HR department with specific experience managing benefit plans and processing payroll
- Must have a minimum of three years processing payroll to be considered for this position
- Proven knowledge of federal, state and local payroll regulations, policies and procedures; Strong knowledge of FLSA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA and related state and federal regulations required
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook; Demonstrated knowledge using sophisticated HRIS databases
- FPC or CPP designation highly preferred
- Experience with Ceridian Dayforce payroll processing systems, or other similar payroll processing software strongly preferred
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
