Payroll Assistant
Provides support to the payroll department in various areas.
Essential Functions
- Review payroll time in hh2 and follow up with questions
- Run sick, PTO and holiday reports for employees and distribute to management
- Enter new hires and complete E-Verify process
- File/upload new hire packets to Timberscan
- Assist with weekly check distribution (sorting & mailing checks according to schedule)
- Process adjustment/layoff checks as needed
- Assist with unemployment filing
- Export/import intercompany payroll
- Submit check requests for child support/levies
- Upload and process carpenter stamps
- Process certified payroll and utilization reports
- Complete other various reports and data entry as needed
- Manage incoming emails to the payroll inbox
- Outstanding attention to detail and an ability to communicate effectively
- Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Strong team player with a positive attitude
