Payroll Analyst I (Management Assistant I) - Anne Arundel County, MD

This position announcement will be used to fill a full-time, permanent Payroll Analyst I (Management Assistant I) vacancy in the Office of Personnel with Anne Arundel County Government. This position will be eligible for semi-remote work after completing the appropriate training period. Effective July 4, 2024, the salary range for this position is $57,876 - $103,971. This position serves as the Payroll Analyst in the Office of Personnel, overseeing the County's automated timekeeping system, E-Time. The mission of the Office of Personnel's Payroll Unit is to provide efficient and cost-effective support services to county operating departments so that they can provide their services to the citizens of Anne Arundel County. The Payroll Analyst I (Management Assistant I) position performs professional administrative work in areas such as personnel, records management, office automation, and general office management. Contacts primarily include departmental timekeepers, managers, and employees both inside and outside the department/agency to which an employee is assigned to resolve administrative problems, provide recommendations, and agree on courses of action. These contacts are generally cooperative requiring collaboration of effort.
