The Finance Department helps to coordinate the daily operations of CCV as well as plans for future growth. The purpose of the Staff Accountant position is to assist the ministry efforts of the Finance Team through preparation of financial records to accurately track assets, liabilities, income and expenses and other related financial activities.
The start date for this role will be January 1st, 2025.
Job DescriptionProcess Payroll
- Become subject matter expert in UKG Pro to execute payroll bi-weekly
- Understand pastoral benefits and how to correctly process in payroll
- Review timecards to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Enter, process, and balance payroll
- Send payroll reports to accounting team
- Run reports as necessary for leadership team
Monthly/Quarterly/Year End Reports
- Process reporting to ensure W2’s are accurate
- Process year end payroll including all fringe benefits, moving expenses, housing allowance, etc
- Quarterly tax report reconciliation
Trainings, Educating, & Miscellaneous
- Onboard new hires into UKG and ensure all proper documentation is completed
- Conduct bi-weekly trainings with new hires on UKG, pastoral benefits, and Rock
- Create and update pastoral benefits packet to help staff with filing 4361 forms
- Be available to meet with staff when needed for all payroll/pastoral benefit needs
- Cross train with benefits administrator to assist when needed

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field required
- Minimum of 5 years of related payroll experience
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent knowledge of general payroll practice
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and communicate in a professional manner
- Microsoft Office experience, excellent working knowledge of Excel
- Prior HRIS experience desired, specifically with UKG a plus
- Prior experience with multi-site church or organization a plus
