JOB SUMMARY
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for supporting various finance functions and ensuring compliance with Adient Aerospace’s processes, procedures, and approvals. This role involves working closely with the Finance team to manage day-to-day financial operations and standard accounting practices. The primary responsibility is processing payroll on a bi-weekly basis for all regular employees, with additional responsibilities comprising approximately 25% accounts payable tasks.

- Verify new hires and employee changes for data information including wages, rates, benefits, vacation accruals and other necessary information that impact payroll.
- Address issues and questions regarding payroll and make necessary payroll adjustments.
- Prepare payroll reports, month-end reports, payroll Journal Entries for payroll and HR, Management, Finance and Boeing.
- Lead a bi-weekly payroll call with HR to prepare for upcoming payroll processing.
- Process bi-weekly payroll for all regular employees under the supervision of the Accounting Manager.
- Review and track time sheets to verify hours and project hours, to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
- Run and update the 401(k) reports into ADP system. Verify for accuracy and fund 401K files in Fidelity.
- Prepare Work Compensation reports.
- Reconcile payroll control accounts monthly.
- Prepare other Ad-hoc reporting as requested.
- Prepare and post monthly accrual for temporary labor.
- Prepare and post monthly benefit invoices.
- Invoice Intercompany payroll invoices.
- Code, post and process supplier invoices, employee expense reports and credit card reporting
- Record and receive invoices against purchase orders – 3-way match
- Set up suppliers with Quality, Supply Chain, and ensure proper paperwork and documentation.
- Complete and update supplier credit applications as necessary for management
- Process and resolve Non-Conforming Product and process credit memos
- Review Monthly Goods Received Not Invoiced to ensure timely processing of transactions with Quality and Operations.
- Resolve supplier and internal questions, discrepancies, and issues regarding suppliers
- Ensure proper approvals and documentation for invoices, credit cards and expense reports
- Calculate and capture taxable transactions for tax filing.
- Manage Purchasing card reconciliation, approvals, coding, and reporting.
- Maintain a safe, secure and legal work environment, adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
- Maintain and protect the confidentiality of the Company’s information and products.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned or requested.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent work experience is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience required.
- Experience collaborating closely with various departments on requests, documents, and reports.
Skills:
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll details and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing information.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel with expertise in PivotTables and formulas.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Experience in Payroll and Accounts Payable within a manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of payroll best practices and regulations.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
- Ability to audit processes and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Professional communication skills for interacting with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.

Hourly Rate Transparency: $25 - $28 per hour, depending on candidate qualifications
