We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team in the construction industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a well-established company and contribute to our financial efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing for our construction employees, ensuring accurate and timely payroll, and maintaining the mJob software system. The role demands a high level of attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Responsibilities:
1. Administer the full cycle of payroll processing, including data entry, reconciliation, and distribution.
2. Ensure all payroll transactions are processed efficiently and accurately, in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and company policies.
3. Maintain and update the mJob software system, ensuring accurate record-keeping and reporting.
4. Analyze and process complex payroll calculations, including overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
5. Prepare and submit reports on payroll operations to the management team.
6. Respond to employees' payroll-related inquiries and resolve any payroll discrepancies.
7. Collaborate with HR and accounting departments to ensure smooth payroll processes and accurate financial records.
8. Stay updated on current regulations, best practices, and industry standards in payroll administration.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 1 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably in the construction industry.
2. Proficient in mJob software and other payroll systems.
3. Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax procedures, and related financial regulations in the construction industry.
4. Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
6. Ability to handle sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality and discretion.
7. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
8. Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws related to payroll and employment.
9. Advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Excel and other MS Office applications.
