Vaco is conducting a search on behalf of a growing organization seeking a Payroll Administrator. Specific client details will be shared with shortlisted candidates for client confidentiality.
Compensation: 70,000/Year + Benefits, potential for discretionary bonus depending on individual and company performance.
Location: Candidates must be based in either Fort Worth, Texas, or Los Angeles, California. Unable to provide relocation assistance
Work Setting: This position is fully onsite with a set schedule of Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Unable to consider hybrid or remote work inquiries.
Work Authorization: Sponsorship is not available for this role now or in the future.
Employment Type: Full-time, direct hire, unable to consider 1099, no c2c, no third-party inquiries or recruiting firms.
Overview:
This company specializes in producing and distributing high-quality products and has seen steady growth, creating the need for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join the team. The role involves handling both payroll processing and auditing in a structured, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process full-cycle payroll, including auditing timecards and managing multi-state payrolls for exempt and non-exempt employees.
Collaborate with third-party auditors to ensure compliance.
Utilize payroll software (ADP Workforce Now) for data entry and reconciliation.
Prepare, maintain, and audit payroll records and reports to ensure accuracy.
Assist with internal and external payroll audits, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Support HR operations through administrative tasks, including document management and retention.
Contribute to policy enforcement through effective communication.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience, including work in manufacturing environments.
Experience in food manufacturing is preferred, but experience in payroll within any manufacturing setting is required.
Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now is required.
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
Effective communication and problem-solving skills in a high-pressure environment.
Preferred Experience:
Background in payroll for food production industries.
Experience with auditing large-scale temporary workforces.
