***This is an onsite role, based in the Metro New Orleans area. This position can be filled as a Clerk Specialty I, II, or Sr based on the candidate’s qualifications***
JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Provide face to face customer service in the Entergy New Orleans Customer Care Centers.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strong cash handling skills, which includes close out and balance of cash drawer on a daily basis. Must be knowledgeble of CCS and serve as backup to Customer Contact Reps when needed. Must process customers' payment accurately in order to ensure proper credits and debits to accounts and preventing customer complaints due to errors. Must be willing to assume a storm restoration role and travel if necessary.
- Must assist with daily operations of the Customer Care Center and be totally flexible. Must use/know CCS system to give balance, reconnect amount and account number information.
- Must know/learn total operations of Customer Care Center and be extremely flexible.
- Provides project assistance as directed by the department leadership.
- Records Management Custodian responsibilities including file maintenance, reporting and compliance to internal and regulatory required records retention policies including support of SOX testing.
- Interface with other departments and employees to satisfy customers' needs and complaints while maintaining department's productivity goals.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum experience required of the position
- Clerk-Specialty I - 0-2 years of experience
- Clerk-Specialty II - 2-4 years of experience
- Clerk-Specialty Sr - 5-7 years of experience
- Preferred: 2 years of cash handling experience
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, Entergy Corporate applications (DSS, DIS, , Indus, Earl, Pearl, VEA, ECOS, Service Suite, AM/FM DFM & Time and Labor. Must be familiar with CCS. Familiar will all company policies and procedures. Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral with internal and external customers. Willing to work extended hours as needed. Self-starter with high initiative, willingness to learn new processes. Excellent multitasking and team working capability a must. Must be a team player and possess excellent decision making skills.
