Summary:
Manages the daily operations of the Patient Transportation department to ensure effective and safe patient flow.
Responsibilities:
Supports special projects and business analysis as requested. Establishes and reviews departmental metrics to identify process improvement opportunities Develops collaborative interdepartmental relationships to assure safe and effective patient flow.Assists in developing and monitoring departmental budgets, and regulatory compliance. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies/purchases, monitors usage and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, and payroll.

Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: 3 years work experience in patient transport and 1 year experience supervising others.
