Job Details
Duties:
- Patient Interaction & Support: Engage patients warmly, guiding them through the registration and scheduling process. Ensure a positive experience by assisting with directions, managing visitor flow, and responding to questions about patient rights, HIPAA, and financial assistance.
- Accurate Documentation: Collect and enter patient demographics, insurance, and medical details accurately, ensuring correct records. Complete all required forms, such as consent forms, privacy notices, and financial documentation.
- Scheduling & Referrals: Schedule appointments, coordinate procedures, and handle pre-authorizations and referrals. Provide appointment reminders and reschedule as needed, facilitating any necessary specialist referrals.
- Telephone & Administrative Support: Answer and direct calls, delivering exemplary service to patients and colleagues. Manage correspondence, distribute mail, and support the department’s administrative tasks efficiently.
Key Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 1+ year in customer-facing roles, preferably in healthcare
- Skills: Strong interpersonal abilities, customer service skills, attention to detail, and adaptability in fast-paced environments
