About the Job
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Service Representative to join our client's dynamic team. The Patient Service Representative will work collaboratively with other hospital services, medical staff, and administration to ensure that quality patient care is delivered.
Location: West Chester, PA - (applicants cannot be more than 15 miles away)
Fully in office schedule
Salary: $17-18/hr
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee all aspects of benefit verifications, encompassing tasks such as insurance verification, authorization, and referral confirmation.
- Welcome and assist patients, whether via phone or in-person, collecting, verifying, updating, and ensuring compliance with all necessary registration, demographic, and insurance information.
- Field phone calls, offering information on fees, services, appointments, insurance details, and addressing payment concerns.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- EPIC experience is a must have
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience with medical insurance and medical terminology.
- At least one (1) year of experience in a clerical position or equivalent formal training.
- Exceptional customer service skills are a must, both in-person and over the phone.
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Electronic Health Records.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
