Job Summary:
As a Patient Service Center Representative II, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless experience for our patients by efficiently managing day-to-day operations related to both Financial Clearance and Scheduling. Your responsibilities include adhering to departmental policies and procedures, verifying eligibility/benefits, obtaining pre-authorizations, providing financial counseling, and handling scheduling duties with a high level of accuracy and professionalism. Additionally, you may be assigned to handle complex pre-registration tasks, demonstrating your expertise in the assigned function(s).
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct both scheduling and registration functions with patients during a single call, ensuring timely scheduling and providing essential information for their appointments.
Perform financial clearance tasks, including verifying patient demographics, insurance information, and securing payments or initiating collection efforts.
Handle complex pre-registration duties, collecting and verifying required patient data, determining financial responsibilities, and securing pre-payments for services.
Ensure completion of all pre-certification requirements by obtaining authorizations from insurers and/or healthcare facilities.
Execute other duties as assigned based on departmental needs.
Requirements:
Ability to thrive in a production-driven call-center environment.
Proficiency in working with dual computer monitors.
Basic typing skills and familiarity with Windows-based computer systems.
Capability to multitask in multiple systems simultaneously.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required.
Preferred: Two plus years of college or equivalent experience in a customer service-driven environment.
Preferred: Experience in telephone/call center operations, pre-registration, or scheduling.
Preferred: 2-3 years of customer service experience.
Physical Demands:
Ability to work in a seated position, utilize computers, and answer telephones.
Occasional travel may be required.

Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation:
Pay range: $14.50-$21.80 per hour.
Holiday pay: Observance of Conifer holidays receives time and a half.
