Scheduler Highlights

• The pay for this position is $18 per hour.
• Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
• Onsite position.
• This position is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls, assess callers' needs, and direct them to appropriate personnel.
• Accurately record and relay messages.
• Schedule patient appointments and tests according to guidelines.
• Cancel and reschedule appointments as necessary, notifying relevant personnel.
• Enter authorizations and related correspondence into patient records and computer systems.
• Maintain physician schedules, including on-call, vacation, and meeting updates.
• Coordinate outpatient appointments, testing, and hospital admissions, securing pre-certifications as needed.
• Manage new patient referrals, gather necessary information, assign patient account numbers, and schedule appointments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of healthcare scheduling experience.
• Preferred but not required: experience in chemotherapy and/or oncology.
