Job description/Responsibilities: Per-Diem All Shifts APPROZIMATE PAY RANGE: $34.52 - $42.45 POSITION SUMMARY Under direct supervision facilitates the provision patient care by performing specific nursing tasks and support functions as delegated by an RN or LVN ESSENTIAL DUTIES Patient Care Provides basic age-appropriate nursing care to patient under the direct supervision of an RN Rehabilitation-Related Care Performs non-skilled nursing duties that may relate to Rehabilitation to carry out the multi-disciplinary care plan for each patient (e.g. crutch walking) Respiratory Care Provides selected respiratory care to patients following accepted respiratory care practices, hospital policy and procedures, and physician orders (e.g. applies pulse oximetry, place in high fowlers position, etc.). ECG Performs ECG's following Hospital policies and procedures Places patient on cardiac monitor Documentation/Reporting Documents and reports care delivered under the direct supervision of an RN, LVN, PA and/or MD. Assembles patient charts and processes orders Interpersonal Skills/Team Work Demonstrates a positive attitude and willingness to facilitate unit function. Safety Maintains a safe working environment Compiles with hospital/departmental policies and procedures/ Professional Behavior - Confidentiality and Legal Issues - Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to legal issues and patient rights in a confidential manner. Professional Performance - Knowledge Base and Technical Skills - Demonstrates sound knowledge base and actions of in-patient care utilizing hospital and service specific standards of care. - PMR assists with patient care and activities of daily living in keeping with hospital policies and procedures. - Working Relationships - Formulates and uses effective working relationships with all health care team members, patients and significant others. - Communication - Demonstrates effective communication skills utilizing lines of authority appropriately. - Performs clerical and computer entry functions when needed, based upon services needs. Other Duties Performs other job related duties as assigned by the clinical Nurse Supervisor/Manager (i.e. stocking supplies, transport, answer phones).

Required Qualification: QUALIFICATIONS **License/Certification Current BLS required CNA certification preferred CMA or EMT required or proof of attendance and a graduation certificate/diploma from an accredited school for training of Medical Assistants or EMT's required. Knowledgeable of medical equipment and supplies. Either have or can provide proof of attendance and a graduation certificate or diploma from an accredited school for training Registered Nurse or License vocational Nurse **Proof of all required License(s) and/or Certification(s) due at time of hire.
