- Analytical and problem-solving skills including ability to analyze patient data from multiple systems.
- Quality management skills including ability to identify quality metrics and tracking of complex regulatory.
- Register, schedule appointments, authorizations, and request medical records prior to all new patient appointments.
- Assists/coordinates patient appointments and follow up, focusing on the initial evaluation.
- Admits and completes financial paperwork and financial clearance for new and existing potential patients.
- Provides back-up to admitting coordinator as needed.
- Assists the office with clerical duties and other duties as assigned.
- Assist with all aspects of patient care.
- Coordinate clinic schedules, patient appointments and follow up.
- Answers patient phone calls, verify insurance benefits, prepare charts for clinic and prepare charge tickets for clinic visits.
- Coordinate scheduling of all surgeries and diagnostic testing for patients which include sending pre-op packets to patients with surgery instructions, prepare surgery charge tickets and compile letters of medical necessity.
- Assist the office with clerical duties.
- Other duties may include: assisting multidisciplinary team in managing the care of the patient s thru all phases (In-take/Evaluation/Listed) by acting as a liaison between the clinic and referring physicians;
- Assisting in managing follow-up care for post-surgical patients by setting up follow up care appointments; and/or coordinating an organized and efficient case flow of clinic scheduling.
- High school graduate or GED
- MUST be able to demonstrate IN DEPTH knowledge of all insurance types knowledge of all insurance types***
- Insurance verification background is a MUST
- MUST HAVE knowledge of an EMR system
- 2+ years' experience in acute care or ambulatory care setting preferred.
- Entry level accepted; 1+ years’ experience in acute care or ambulatory care setting preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Familiarity with Word processing, Microsoft Outlook.
Salary
20 - 26 /hour
