Job Position: Patient Coordinator
Job Location: 255 Lafayette Ave, Suffern, NY 10901
Job Type: Full-Time (Monday-Thursday 9am-6pm, Friday 8am-12pm )
Salary Description: $17.00-$18.00/hour, based on experience
Responsibilities:- Answers telephone determines the purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department. Retrieves messages from voicemail and forwards them to appropriate personnel.
- Schedules appointments and enters appointment date and time into computerized scheduler EMR. Conducts reminder calls to all patients.
- Registers patients by verifying that patients' record is up to date and accurate. Makes appropriate changes in the computer system.
- Answers questions about the organization and provides callers with addresses, directions, and other information.
- Prepare and sanitize treatment room for the patients; restock linens in all areas of department
- Assist patients in the use of stationary bikes, pulley systems, exercise/medicine balls, plyometric boxes, rebounder, weight equipment, mobilization tables and benches, progressive resistive exercises as designed by the Physical Therapist
- Prepare equipment such as hydrotherapy tanks, paraffin bath, and hot packs
- Remove and replace braces, splints, and slings from patient bodies before and after treatment Assist physical therapy assistant and/or physical therapist to support patient during ambulation and gait training.
- High School Diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and exp.
- Medical receptionist experience a plus
- EMR scheduling software knowledge a plus
- Spreadsheet and Word Processing software.
