About the Job
Position Summary
· Performs tasks related to monitoring of cardiac rhythms of all assigned patients
· Observes telemetry cardiac monitors, listening for and responding to all alarms
· Using Philips e-calipers, measures cardiac cycles and pertinent intervals on graphic sheets. Posts a minimum of one strip every 8 hours on every assigned patient's chart and post strips in response to significant changes in patient's cardiac rate and or rhythm.
Position Requirements :
· High School diploma/ GED required
· Associate's Degree/Clinical Certification preferred
· CNA certification preferred (At least 6 months of CNA/PCT experience required)
· Bilingual (Spanish) abilities highly desirable.
· CPR certified
· Telemetry Class and Competency in EKG interpretation
