Job Overview:
The Patient Care Coordinator is a key team member in our mission to provide the highest standard of care and service to our patients; and ensures that the patients’ experience with our practice is seamless and exceptional from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for the following:
- Greets each patient warmly and sincerely
- Courteously answers inquiries and handles appointment requests in person, by phone, and via online chat
- Anticipates and fulfills the needs of each patient in a timely manner. Treats each patient respectfully, thoughtfully, and graciously at all times.
- Performs check-in and check-out of patients
- Schedules office and surgical visits accurately
- Inputs and accesses data in practice management and appointment scheduling system
- Interacts with insurance companies by phone or electronically regarding pre-authorizations, coverage, and billing, and other related activities
- Explains financial and cancellation policies and cost estimates for out-of-pocket procedures to patients
- Processes payment transactions
- Performs patient intake and inputs patient information into the electronic medical record system
- May cross train to perform other duties as necessary to support operations of the practice
- Perform opening and closing duties per practice protocol
- Protects the privacy of patients at all times.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the service industry (hotel, spa, restaurant, sales, retail, customer service)
- Experience in the healthcare or aesthetic industry is desired
- Fluency in a second language such as Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, or Korean is desired
- Must be authorized to work in the US
- Must be polished and professional: willing to cover any visible tattoos or facial piercings during work hours; hair must be neat and professional appearing; only natural hair colors accepted unless otherwise discussed; nails must be kept short and clean; neutral nail polishes only; no perfumes; uniform must be clean and professional and approved by the practice.
Specific Qualifications (will be asked to demonstrate at interview):
- Must be proficient in working with the computers, tablets, internet, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc), iOS and Windows
- Must be able to type at least 60 wpm
- Must be able to multi-task working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a meticulous attention to detail
- Must be able to prepare and review written documents accurately and completely
- Must be able to communicate with others using clear and professional language

Compensation: $18-24 per hour (commensurate with experience) + Employee discount + Paid Training
