We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Permanent Patient Care Coordinator for a temporary role in the Medical Device industry. This role is critical in ensuring that our patients receive the highest standard of care and service. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of patient care, including insurance verification, scheduling appointments, and maintaining patient records. This position requires a high degree of professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate all aspects of patient care, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and verifying insurance information.
2. Act as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to ensure seamless communication and service.
3. Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits, and assist with pre-authorizations and referral processes.
4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and insurance information.
5. Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
6. Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to ensure that all patient needs are met.
7. Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
8. Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including data entry, filing, and office organization.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of five years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient care coordination or a similar role.
2. Proficiency in insurance verification, including knowledge of insurance terms, benefits, and coverage.
3. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
4. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
5. Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures.
6. Proficiency in using healthcare software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
7. High level of professionalism, with a commitment to providing excellent patient care and service.
8. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
9. High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.
