RMH is looking to hire an efficient patient service representative to verify medical insurance benefits for various patient treatments and to follow up with patient on patient balances. To be successful as a patient service representative, you should have an understanding of insurance benefits, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence timely patient payments.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately create and send patient benefit letters
- Contact patients to collect and arrange payment plans
- Timely respond to patient inquiries regarding billing discrepancies, balances due, and general financial concerns
- Process and post patient payments
- Issue patient statements
- Coordinate efforts with billing team
- Create a positive patient experience
- Actively participate as a team member in resolving issues as they are identified
Requirements:
- High school diploma required. Bachelors degree preferred.
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Effective communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Detail-oriented
- 2 years of experience working with insurance verification, health care accounts receivable, or billing required.
- Additional job duties as assigned
