Patient Account Representative - Oncology - Thibodaux Regional Health System

Responsible for providing clerical assistance to the physician practice management services that will include coordination of filing/billing, posting/collecting, follow-up functions, as well as, balancing end of day and end of month reports.

Educational and/or Professional Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Previous Experience:

Minimum of three years medical customer service required.

Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care payment and billing guidelines.

Ability to operate a computer and various computer software programs.

Other Special Training/Skills:

Possess excellent communication skills, oral and written. Possess a preference for dealing with people who are ill and need help.

Possess the tack to deal effectively with patients, doctors, other employees and insurance companies.

Possess the sense of discipline to work in accordance with accepted business standards.
