Patient Account Representative - CornerStone Staffing

CornerStone Staffing has partnered with a MAJOR HEALTHCARE NETWORK in Fort Worth and is currently recruiting for the following position:

Job Title: Patient Account Representative

Location: Downtown Fort Worth

Pay: $18/hr or more (Depending on Experience)

Schedule: 8:30am 5:30pm, Monday-Friday

Duration: Possible Temp to Hire

Job Description:

The Patient Account Representative is responsible for performing internal medical record audits to ensure billing operations meet compliance with State and federal guidelines for accurate claims processing. This position processes electronic and paper claims for Nursing (hourly and visit), Rehab, Durable Medical Equipment, and Infusion services, reconciles patient accounts and works with the accounts receivable; providing the Patient Account manager with financial data; volume data and trend analysis. This position serves as liaison between assigned departments and patient accounts, communicating effectively with patients, payors and other departments regarding collection of outstanding accounts, maintaining proper documentation and edits of work performed; and at all times maintaining a professional demeanor.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma; some college hours preferred

• 1 year billing or related experience in Home Health setting

• In lieu of billing experience, 5 years of customer service.

• Strongly prefer 1 year of excellent phone etiquette skills and professionalism.

• Knowledge of Federal and State billing guidelines

• High degree of interpersonal skills
