Vancouver Clinic is seeking a full-time Patient Account Representative to join our Customer Service and Collections team within the Patient Financial Services department.
Location: Park Plaza Administration Office, 7809 NE Vancouver Plaza Dr Suite 110, Vancouver, WA 98662
Schedule: Monday - Friday,10am-6:30pm. Opportunity to work remotely after successful completion of training and metric competencies are met, approximately 6 months.
Compensation: Hiring range starts at $20.08/hour. Actual rate dependent on applicable professional experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities:
Answer calls and responds to patient inquiries and/or problems regarding bills in an accurate, prompt, and courteous manner.
Identify delinquent accounts and contact patients to negotiate a payment plan.
Respond to collection agency correspondences and agency assignment paperwork.
Process bankruptcy and probate accounts.
Evaluate patient eligibility for financial assistance adjustment.
Receive patient requests for information and adjustments. Initiates resolution as identified in department policies and procedures.
Provide quality customer service and resolution to callers’ concerns
Process appropriate refund in accordance with department policies and procedures.
Responsible for the analysis and necessary corrections of patient accounts as it pertains to clean claim submissions or re-bills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of one-year experience in health care accounting and medical billing required.
Customer service experience required, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Knowledge of commercial insurance contract practices, third party billing and billing to private clients.
Experience with private billing and collections regulations preferred.
Pay Range:

PTO and Personal Time accruals are pro-rated by FTE/hours worked. Non-benefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked.
