Description
Performs a combination of tasks including but not limited to receiving, filling, shipping, and inspecting orders accurately and in a timely manner; efficiently and safely loads, unloads, and conveys materials; optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
• Receives, locates, and transfers materials accurately and in a timely manner
• Opens containers utilizing hand tools as needed; counts and weighs materials and records information
• Identifies damaged materials, loss, or surplus of goods and records material shortages and overages
• Loads and unloads materials onto and from a variety of containers including but not limited to trucks, conveyors, racks, pallets, and/or trays; utilizes appropriate tools to accomplish tasks
• Transports incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas utilizing appropriate tools/vehicles to accomplish task including but not limited to by hand, hand truck, electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack or forklift
• Stocks warehouse, organizes, inventories, stacks and assembles materials, and prepares material for loading
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or request for materials, tools, or other stock items
• Sorts material according to size, type, style, color, or product code
• Assists machine operators and assemblers as needed by lifting heavy objects by hand or by use of power hoist
• Maintains a safe, clean working environment
• Participates in quality improvement efforts
• Performs required administrative tasks; prepares all required reports and correspondence
• Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area
• Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus
• Conducts Pre-trip and Post-trip inspections of forklift; lubricates truck, recharges batteries, fills fuel tank, or replaces liquefied gas tank
• Empties garbage dumpsters; lifts trash cans into dumpsters
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management

• Forklift Operator Certification
• Familiarity with receiving and shipping practices as well as handling methods

• Must be able to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation (occasionally 60-75 lbs.); able to regularly bend, twist, and climb on and off the forklift
• Experience with RF scanning equipment and SAP preferred
