As a Parts & Service Consultant in Earthmoving Division within Caterpillar , you will work with the Medium Wheel Loader (MWL) team with a direct impact on improving customer uptime by putting solutions in place to resolve our highest priority MWL aftermarket parts availability issues. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest levels of parts availability which is a key enabler to achieving our aftermarket services growth targets.

As a Parts & Service Consultant in Earthmoving Division within Caterpillar , you will work with the Medium Wheel Loader (MWL) team with a direct impact on improving customer uptime by putting solutions in place to resolve our highest priority MWL aftermarket parts availability issues. What You Will Do:
- Work closely with the MWL Lifecycle Manager to achieve availability target and drive profitability across the MWL parts portfolio.
- Create incremental stocking requests as needed by aligning with our aftermarket growth initiatives to deliver services growth goals.
- Establish metrics and targets to monitor and review the MWL availability gaps and status.
- Maintain effective internal communications and business partner relationships to quickly identify and resolve availability issues.
- Support dealers with proactive management of orders to support customer rebuilds.
- Customer Focus : Prioritize customer needs and satisfaction in all business decisions, creating customized solutions for parts and services.
- Service Excellence : Deliver exceptional service to meet or exceed customer expectations, ensuring the highest standards in parts and service delivery.
- Consulting : Provide technical and business guidance to clients, leveraging expertise to offer valuable insights and solutions.
- Effective Communications : Utilize effective communication tools and techniques to accurately share and interpret information, ensuring clear and consistent internal and external communications.
- Problem Solving : Apply problem-solving approaches to anticipate and resolve issues related to rebuild planning, process creation, and parts forecasting.
- Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers to support the success of the product line.
- Strategic Thinking : Employ strategic thinking to align parts and service strategies with organizational goals, focusing on key success factors.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across a worldwide team in multiple organizations and functions to drive results
- Familiarity with Earthmoving Medium Wheel Leader Products
- A strong understanding and background in parts supply chain and expediting
- Experience supporting our dealers and customers after the point of sale
- Ability to think strategically to develop long term solutions by using lean methods
- Preferred Location: Peoria, IL
- Caterpillar operates in a hybrid work environment, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week of onsite, in office work.
- Travel: Up to 5%
- Relocation assistance IS available to preferred location
