Job Summary
The Parts Room Lead will supervise the daily activities of the Parts Clerks in the Parts Room to maintain and enhance procedures to control the receipt and withdrawal of parts from inventory. Ensure that the company has access to critical spare parts and routine maintenance supplies on a timely basis to support productivity in the Plants.
Hours: 7:30am-5:00pm
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Location: Beloit, WI
Core Responsibilities:
- Supports the mission, values, and vision of the company.
- Ability to manage inventory levels, track parts usage, all kitting and maintain accurate records of stock levels.
- Ability to pay attention to detail to ensure accurate labeling, identification, categorization of parts in the inventory, Monitoring Purchasing Trends, identifying needs of Min/Max, and Identifying Critical Spares.
- Advise Management daily of the status of work in progress, risks to schedule, material availability, and potential problems to ensure that materials and services flow unburdened.
- Complete inventory audits and train new personnel
- Supervisory skills to lead a team of parts room staff, assign tasks, provide guidance, and ensure team efficiency and productivity via- Publish work schedules and assign responsibilities and tasks to the Parts Clerks to ensure part receiving, inventory counts, and part sign-outs are completed by trained employees in compliance with documented procedures.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain a well-organized parts room, track incoming and outgoing parts, ensure efficient storage and retrieval of parts, and ensure that parts inventory is accurate, well organized, and secure.
- Ensure that programs for repairs/exchanges and warranty replacement are prioritized and executed.
- Ensure transactional documents are verified and forwarded to Finance/Accounting daily.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with the maintenance teams, and other stakeholders to understand parts requirements and communicating with external vendors and internal clients to ensure timely resolution of issues that impact operational productivity and quality.
- Participate in the new vendor qualification process.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues related to parts availability, identify alternative solutions, and resolve discrepancies in inventory records.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software, spreadsheets, and other tools to track inventory, generate reports, and analyze data related to parts usage.
- Understanding of safety regulations related to handling and storing parts, ensuring compliance with safety protocols in the parts room.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and ensure timely delivery of parts to support maintenance activities.
- Ability to analyze data related to parts usage, inventory levels, and other metrics to identify trends, make informed decisions, and optimize inventory management processes.
- Other duties as needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Word, Excel and Internet search engines and browsers

Education, etc.
- Minimum AS degree or equivalent relevant work experience
- 5+ years related work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Parts Room experience, or equivalent, regarding replenishment and maintenance of inventory.
- Lead/Supervisory Experience
- Work history that reflects stability, reliability, and off-shift flexibility.
- Work history that includes on-the-job training in safety, employee supervision, and professional development.
- ERP and CMMS systems knowledge
