Summary:
Under general supervision, carry out a variety of tasks in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment to prepare parts or subassemblies for the next step in the production process including outside processing (anodizing, powder coating), internal assembly and/or packaging.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:
- Manually remove machining imperfections from parts utilizing the operator’s skill and knowledge to efficiently perform the manual blending, polishing and creation of edge breaks on precision components.
- Perform processing steps including, but not limited to, graining, hardware installation, masking, deburring, and cleaning.
- Prepare chemical process solutions and baths for pre-treating and chemical cleaning of parts.
- Inspect manufactured components for conformance to specifications.
- Ensure that standard procedures are followed in all aspects of work including tool setup and operation, process verification, product inspection, documentation, and material handling.
- Operate hand and air tools for parts processing; operate forklift as required.
- Ensure documentation, including certifications, work orders, process sheets, etc. are kept in order and filled out completely.
- Maintain safe work environment conditions by observing processing employee practices and correcting them when necessary.
- Ensure that parts processing adheres to quality standards.
Secondary Duties:
- Assist Shop Floor Control with tasks, such as, cutting material and overall facility care and maintenance.
- Assist Receiving and Materials Management with tasks such as: loading and unloading material; collecting scrap material for recycling.
- Assist in inventory cycle counts.
- Assist with packaging of customer orders.
- Deliver and pick up of parts and materials.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic math or industrial mathematics desired.
- Good written and verbal skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Ability to set use or setup various measuring devices.
- Strong problem solving skills.
Work Setting
- A machining environment with frequent noise in an indoor seasonally air-conditioned and heated environment. Combination of standing/sitting for extended periods; fine motor skills with frequent hand and arm movement; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Personal protective equipment (safety glasses, ear protection) may be required. May operate moving equipment (forklift) as required to perform essential job functions.
