About the Job
We are working with a well-respected multi-location agriculture equipment dealership that's looking to bring on a Parts Manager for one of their locations. This person will be in charge of parts and inventory, along with some sales.
The Parts Manager will manage the Parts Department in a manner that meets the overall store objectives and that drives parts sales.
Ag Equipment Parts ManagerResponsibilities:
- Manage various key metrics within the department as they relate to the plans of Store and Company initiatives to meet or exceed financial goals, i.e.: variance to a sales plan, gross margin dollars, gross margin percentages, outside purchases, parts obsolescence, etc.
- Develop and maintain relationships with manufacturer partners.
- Know the specific SSA customer base and the product base which will be the source for revenue generation for the Store.
- Ensure that parts counter staff are effectively facilitating the point-of-sale process, keeping customer service levels at a very high level. This includes the development of selling skills through on-the-job training.
- Handle customer parts inquiries including resolving customer complaints/issues.
- Ensure a safe work environment and ensure that all department employees understand and follow safety policies and procedures.
- Manage the training and development of parts department employees.
Ag Equipment Parts Manager Qualifications:
- Three or more years’ experience in related parts and operations.
- The ability to effectively lead and manage people.
- Effective time management skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of internal and external business.
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to effectively resolve employee and customer conflicts.
- The ability to operate in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Demonstrated strong negotiation and closing skills.
