Overview:Our dealership has an immediate opportunity for a Parts Dispatcher familiar with local routes who can become the TEC in-house expert on the Elite Extra dispatch database, and possesses excellent organizational and time-management skills. This role will work closely with General Manager and Assistant Parts Manager, and must demonstrate excellent internal and external customer service skills to oversee driving operations with the ultimate goal of timely, efficient, and safe delivery of products to customers.
Responsibilities:- Work closely with General Manager and Assistant Parts Manager to oversee driving operations with the ultimate goal of timely, efficient, and safe delivery of products to customers.
- Plan and dispatch customer orders, ensuring that all orders are dispatched and requested delivery windows are met, including following-up with drivers throughout the day, assigning delivery jobs/routes and communicating to all parties involved the status of deliveries on the schedule.
- Successfully coordinate multiple tasks, such as providing exceptional phone customer service while also directing parts drivers by radio and tracking devices.
- Systems Super-User: Maintain the Elite Extra dispatch database and become the TEC in-house expert on the system.
- Train other warehouse staff and management on use of the Elite Extra software system and other related tools as appropriate.
- Work with manager and other invested parties on system settings & configurations as needed.
- Work with manager on creating training guides/documenting processes.
- Monitor driver performance in accordance with requirements for safety and compliance with DOT standards.
- Maintain location information and disposition of company-owned tractors, trailers, and related equipment at all times.
- Administer policies with drivers that involve driver control and report all driver disciplinary problems to the Assistant Parts Manager.
- Refer all claims from drivers and customers to the Assistant Parts Manager, and maintain all required reports and forms that are necessary for the functions of the Department.
- Responsible for day-to-day issues, regarding service, equipment management, driving-related issues, and service deviations.
- Ensure that driver work hours are managed within legal guidelines.
- Familiar with local geography, routes, general road/driving conditions for the area.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Word Ability to operate radios and other tracking devices (training provided)..
- Excellent internal and external customer service skills. Demonstrated listening, written/oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to think strategically and use sound judgement to make consistently good decisions in a timely manner.
- Experience with Elite Extra software preferred.
- Knowledge of supply chain management.
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet insurance requirements.
