Job Description
Peterson Trucks has the immediate need for an experienced Parts Associate at our San Leandro. CA location.
SUMMARY
The Parts Associate is responsible for responding to internal customer requests, coordinating parts with technicians, managing parts inventory levels for service work, and ensuring timely processing of repair orders.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Answer and respond to requests from internal customers, selling parts to them when needed.
Generate invoices for repair orders and coordinate with Idealease Technicians on parts needed.
Ensure Idealease parts inventory is kept at optimal levels.
Input all parts for Idealease repair orders into CDK.
Research, source, and acquire parts for Idealease locations, including but not limited to the San Leandro, San Martin, and Santa Rosa locations.
Turn around and close repair orders in a timely manner.
Process NexPart orders for service trucks.
Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
Issue parts purchase orders (PO’s) and pay invoices timely.
Manage parts dollar inventories and audit for accuracy.
Adjust parts cost in business system to match current pricing.
Manage core process and returns.
Pickup and deliver parts as needed.
Process parts returns in accordance with Dealership.
Operate personal or company vehicle as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates Degree from a fully accredited college in Business Administration or other closely related field and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in parts or sales, preferably in a heavy industrial environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Automotive or heavy-duty truck experience is highly desirable.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
The pay range for this position is: $27.50-$32.. (Starting wage will depend on experience and education) We also offer a total compensation package in addition to base salary.
