What does a Partnerships FP&A Senior Analyst do?
The Partnership Financial Planning and Analysis Senior Analyst will support a key strategic Airport Dimensions partnership. They will be responsible for coordinating between the company’s accounting, finance, design/construction and operations organizations to analyze company data. The role will require working cross-functionally with other disciplines to utilize operational financial models to reflect financial results, budgeting, forecasting, and analyses of business opportunities.
Responsibilities include the budgeting and forecasting process, performing financial and operating analyses, supporting the monthly partnership invoicing process, maintaining key partnership statistical and financial reporting, and undertaking special projects while providing financial consulting and strategic support to senior leadership. The position requires a result-oriented Finance professional with strong business acumen, GAAP knowledge and extensive process knowledge around financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and internal reporting including preparing financial presentations, capital expenditures and margin analysis. Strong communication skills and a commitment to continual process improvement are essential. This individual should be an energetic, proactive leader who can define, design, and implement solutions to support a growing and complex business.
The position will work closely with the Partnership Senior Finance Manager and Regional Finance Director to ensure compliance with partnership finance, accounting and audit processes and protocols. The position will also work closely with Airport Dimensions global finance team and across multiple business disciplines.
What You'll do?
- Build, validate and maintain analytical and statistical models in Excel
- Prepare timely and detailed reports on partnership financial and operational performance on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Focus on translating analytics into actionable insights
- Execute value-added analysis and provide decision support for strategic partnership objectives
- Prepare partnership airport lounge visit reports
- Develop capital expense forecasts to support Design & Construction projects
- Assist with annual operating expense budgets and quarterly reforecasts
- Support the monthly partnership invoicing process
- Generate month-end financial performance reporting for assigned lounges, explaining variances to budget/forecast
- Review key supplier invoices for accuracy and performance against budget
- Develop presentations and present findings with recommendations to key stakeholders and senior leadership across the company
- Execute continuous process improvements
- Assist with audits and year-end close procedures.
What You'll Need?
- Superior analytical skills with a strategic focus
- Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
- High degree of proficiency in MS Office and financial management software; experience with Microsoft Dynamics a plus
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel required, previous data modelling experience highly desired
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Flexible and easily adaptable to changing conditions
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to work well in high pressure situations in order to meet deadlines
- Ability to multi-task and manage numerous simultaneous priorities
- Strong business partnering and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance
- At least 5 years of work experience in a position with financial planning and analysis responsibilities
- Knowledge of GAAP preferred.
