Partner Development Manager
Position Type: Full time, salaried position which is eligible for commissions/bonuses based on performance.
Job Summary:
The Partner Development Manager is responsible for developing and facilitating productive partnerships in Massachusetts, including CFP communities and other municipalities, as well as local and national retail partnerships as assigned.

- New Partnership Coordination:
- Generate new municipal partner prospects through various channels, such as cold-calling, in-person visits, and email.
- Develop robust outreach lists to contact about possible partnership opportunities
- Assist in the development of proposals, grant writing, and contract updates to establish new partnerships with appropriate organizations with oversight from the Partnership Manager.
- Present business development deck to potential clients, including selectboards, town administrators, sustainability managers, non-profit climate groups, and others.
- Support the cultivation of relationships with statewide internal and external stakeholders to increase lead generation and partnership initiatives.
- Coordinate partner events, meetings, and other engagement activities to strengthen relationships and mutual value.
- Work cross-departmentally to ensure partner success.
- Build long lasting relationship with third part organizations
- Engage in public events including residential energy efficiency educational presentations, committee meetings, and occasional partner tabling events
- Distribute Memorandums of Understanding (MOU’s) for new partnerships.
Education & Experience:
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook calendar, and Teams.
- Ability to learn new platforms such as Salesforce and scheduling software like Sling.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills across various platforms.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
- Requires proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This is an individual contributor position with no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment: (will be exposed to the following)
- Hybrid position: This position is a flexible work model that combines remote and on-site work. When working remotely, the employee is required to have a workspace free of distraction during work hours to perform job duties.
- Indoor & Outdoor Environment: This position requires working both indoors and outdoors at retail and other designated locations (farmer's markets, town events). Weather conditions will vary based on the season.
Physical Demands:
- Requires sitting at a desk for long periods of time, performing tasks on a computer, the ability to move within the office to attend meetings, access equipment, or interact with colleagues.
- Requires walking to designated location, standing for long periods of time, as well as bending, crawling, and carrying and assembling equipment up to 60 lbs. for each event, and engaging with a large number of individuals.
- This job will require travel in a personal vehicle.
