About the Job
The City of Pearland, TX is seeking a part-time Veterinarian to lead animal medical care at the state-of-the-art, Shari D. Coleman Animal Shelter & Adoption Center, which features an on-site surgery suite. The position offers a flexible schedule and participation in the Texas Municipal System with a city contribution match of 2:1.
The part-time Veterinarian earns a competitive salary of $48.62-$59.27/per hour, depending on experience.

We make it our mission to protect, shelter, and care for animals, present educational programs to the community, provide support to residents and their pets during times of disaster, and offer and promote pet adoptions.
Our staff of ten professionally trained individuals are dedicated to serving the public and local animals, and we want you to bring your passion and love for all animals to our team!
About the Position
Work and collaborate with a fun, energetic team to provide high-quality shelter medicine. This job is perfect for someone who wants to make a big difference helping animals, enjoys surgery, and needs a flexible schedule. Benefits include competitive salary, renewal of state licensing, DEA registration, Association of Shelter Veterinarians dues, Texas Veterinary Medical Association dues, and supplied scrubs.
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and two (2) years professional veterinary experience is required. Applicants must possess an active State of Texas Veterinary License and be capable of obtaining DEA registration. Shelter medicine experience is recommended, but not required.
