Part Time Seasonal General Laborer - Leonhardt Manufacturing Co., Inc.

Position Summary:

The Part-time Seasonal General Laborer will assist the production department in the completion of their duties and responsibilities. These duties may include assisting in some chipping, grinding, and will help to prep and setup for our welders. Will assemble parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications.

Essential Functions:

• Performs general duties using a variety of tools and equipment
• Performs daily inspection of work area
• Basic proficiency in operating shop equipment
• Examines material or product for surface defects such as cracks, pits, and incomplete welds
• Physically move product to designated areas
• Assist others as needed
• Performs all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
• Prioritizes work flow through effective communication with management
• Maintains a clean and safe work area
• Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to speak, read, and write in clear English
• Completes work in a timely manner
• Is consistently at work and on time
• Treats others will respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; upholds organizational values
• Observes safety and security procedures; reports unsafe conditions

Education:

• Experience in manufacturing preferred, but not required. We will train the right person.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
