Avery Lane is a fine furniture, antiquities, and art consignment showroom featuring luxury items from some of Arizona's finest homes. We offer a fun and friendly shopping experience and are fortunate to have many loyal regulars including lots of seasonal residents. Avery Lane has won #1 Consignment Store in Arizona 6 years in a row, and we owe a lot of that honor to our amazing sales staff. AVERY LANE IS GROWING, and we want team members to GROW WITH US. We opened our third showroom in 2020 featuring unique French, Italian, and American furniture in a wide variety of styles from antiques to contemporary. We are located on the Greenway Hayden Loop very close to the Scottsdale Quarter and Kierland with easy Freeway access.

Position Summary:

PART-TIME Sales Associate/Designer

ABOUT THE JOB:

Actively engage with our upscale, lively clientele in a friendly and expert sales manner to assist them in buying furniture, artwork, and accessories for their homes. The ideal candidate should have some experience in RETAIL SALES. An interest and background in interior design, art, and furniture is helpful but not necessary. The position requires a person with professionalism in following up with clients and organizing orders and deliveries. We need a person who is both engaging but also detail-oriented and computer savvy to complete our online forms that facilitate deliveries.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work as a team player and interact with co-workers and customers in a professional and courteous manner.
• Sales background to provide great customer service, follow-up and effectively Upsell to increase store revenues.
• Ability to stand for 7-8 hours and walk on cement floors.
• Friendly and vivacious personality to easily talk with customers and make them comfortable in our showrooms.
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize effectively
• Need to be very organized and detail-oriented
• Spirit of teamwork, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic are mandatory. We love team members who smile, laugh, and make our work environment enjoyable. No negativity or whiners.
• Must be a self-starter and able to self-manage projects from start to finish.
• Professional appearance (no face piercings or visible tattoos)
• Must have 2 forms of ID and pass E-Verify
• EDUCATION: High School Diploma/GED
• VET Friendly
• No-Smoking Environment-- Due to allergies, we can't hire smokers.

SCHEDULE:

3-4 days per week, Flexible Schedule but must work on Saturdays. 

PAY & BENEFITS:

• $18/hour to start (please don't apply and request $25/hour); Well Above Minimum Wage with a raise after the 60-day trial period and upon a 1-year anniversary.
• Monthly Bonuses ($300-$400) based on sales volume and customer satisfaction.
• Health Insurance & 401K Plan after 60 days (full-time status required for Employer to pay insurance or match)

Our Hiring Process:

If you meet our qualifications, you'll be notified via text and email to respond to a survey about yourself. Upon completion, we will reach out for a Zoom/Video interview call (about 20-30 mins). Pertaining all goes well you will then come to our office for a final interview.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18 per hour to start with a raise after 60 days based on performance.
